Introducing you to the merger of Safety Professionals and Riskill

Riskill, a leading provider of OSHA compliance services joins forces with Safety Professionals.

In 2020 with COVID19 affecting the way and the how we did business, my wife Kari and I began our business, Safety Professionals. My goal was to continue to provide service to the group of clients I was already providing service with my former employer. I felt I could provide a better direct service to my clients. My relations remain well with that employer, and we continue to work together and support each other.

Ted Sommer and I have known and worked in the same safety circle for several years. Ted became a client in 2017 while working as a corporate safety director.   I worked closely with Ted at several facilities for his company and it became clear we work well together and approach safety with similar principles. Ted formed Riskill in the early summer of 2019 in Appleton, Wisconsin. We have continued to collaborate and conduct trainings together for the past three years.

In this past year two more have joined me at Safety Professionals, my long-time friend Danny Rund has come on-board teach classes, conducting first aid training and helping with program development. My daughter, Katie Shears has been busy re-locating (again) and is taking a break from education. She is now busy helping me to get organized and helping to develop new content for me with some pretty good technical skills. Enough about them, they can introduce themselves.

Ted and I have had many discussions on how we could better collaborate and how we could better serve our clients. As true safety guys who shamelessly steal and re-package so much (hey after 25 years you know how many times I have taught HAZCOM?) we felt a merger of our resources was in our best interest.   We are looking to continue to provide great service to our clients under the Riskill logo.

This is now our natural progression. A combining of resources so that we may grow the services we provide and enlarge the footprint in which we provide services. I look forward to sharing with you as we grow the additional services and benefits we develop.
