Hazards on Dairy Farms

Dairy Farming has hazards not found in other industries and some that are common to many employers. Hazards on the farm must be identified, communicated to employees and managed. Employees must be trained and provided appropriate tools and PPE to protect themselves.
Hazards on the farm include:
-All Terrain Vehicles (including collisions, rollovers, and carbon monoxide)
-Skid Steer operations (struck-by, tip overs, falling objects, crush)
-Slips, trips & falls
-Animal movement (crush, struck-by)
-Silos (confined space, falls)
-Chemicals (fertilizer, pesticides)
